My mundane name is Michelle and I lived in chicago for the early, formative years of my life, then for no apparent reason I up and moved myself to New York when I was 21. (born in 1980, you do the math) Currently I'm a freelance artist working a mundane job for insurance and money to pay my way through college as I've been trying to do, off and on through the years since I graduated high school. I draw for Shanda the Panda, a small press comic that actually does pretty well in certain circles, and spend much of my spare time now going through to conventions trying to promote myself and my artwork.
It's always been an ambition of mine to work on the Ninja turtles professionally in some form, and maybe one day, I'll get to see that happen ;)
Taekwondo, Roller Skating, Drawing, Reading, Collecting TMNT memorablia, Singing, going to flea markets.
While I don't compete like I once did, I did at one point win a gold medal at the USTU Taekwondo Nationals, qualifying me to go to the Worlds and a shot at the U.S. team. Unfortunately, due to a bad timed surgery (Emergency gallbladder removal) I wasn't able to attend. At this point, I have no plans for competing on anything beyond a regional basis and then just for fun. I have a black belt in two styles (Taekwondo and an integrated system of Martial arts that focused mainly in Korea and the martial arts that evolved from there) I really have to thank the Ninja Turtles for influencing me to begin studying the Martial arts, which has become such an integral part of my life now.
I like a bunch of things besides the TMNT, they are, in no particular order : Stargate - SG1, Special Unit 2, Andromeda, Gargoyles, The Mighty Ducks, Darkwing Duck, The Swat Kats, Knight Rider, Star Trek, Star Wars, Doctor Who, Mortal Kombat, The Simpsons, South Park, Thunder Cats, Freakazoid, Count Duckula, X-files, Forever Knight and others, if its on, I've seen it and probably like it.
